LG Rhythm Reviews
LG Rhythm is designed to keep you entertained on the move with its music centric functions, featuring advanced music playback functionality (i.e. 3D sound, unique equalizer) and its special navigation design. And that's not all, we will check out what LG Rhythm really has to offer.
Designing: The design does have some distinctive features but then those who have seen the LG Chocolate would trace some similarities in the Rhythm. However, what is appreciable is the mechanical scroll wheels that somehow manage to look blended in the overall design which includes a sleekly-designed slider chassis and very perceptive navigational keys. Another aspect that lends a touch of class to the presentation is the smoothness of the edges that are curved in an unconventional, restrained manner that helps to negate any notions of a box-like appearance. The back cover has been very well done with a textured touch to it and this makes the phone appear much high-end than it actually is.
Display: The main display is rather large for the Rhythm's price and measures 2.0 inches and it appears a lot bigger upon its humble-sized frame. Clear, sharp image display is made possible on the 240 x 320 pixel screen resolution. There is something new about the menu styling — rather than the standard grid and list type menu, the interface presents the different function icons in an intuitive semi circle arrangement. Scrolling through the different functions is a breeze. The biggest factor that makes the Rhythm's display appear so unique is what lies in the middle of the scroll wheel — you will not find the standard Menu/OK button, but a unique 1 inch touchscreen has been incorporated for improved functionality.
Other features on Offer: There is a phone book to support a thousand entries along with the provision to note down memos and use two e-mail addresses along with 120 MB of user memory. The music player is perhaps the best in the market and it has been enriched with a very interactive user interface. In fact, the wide array of playback features is comparable to many mp3 players. Songs can be categorized under artists, genres or albums and your music numbers can be played in full or list view. More choices are offered in the form of viewing music spectrum or the album art when listening to songs. Further, there is an option to create and edit animations that can be viewed when playing songs. These features are coupled with a 1.3 Megapixel camera that might seem simplistic for a device that is breakthrough in many ways, but then it helps to get the pricing right.
